As part of nationwide celebrations of the 75th anniversary of VE Day, the Royal Albert Hall will host a behind-closed-doors concert, which will be available for the world to watch online for free.
It will be a moment of unity for everyone to stop and reflect, both on the significance of VE Day and the message of We’ll Meet Again, which has taken a whole new meaning during this COVID-19 pandemic.
The concert will feature a performance of classic wartime music from Welsh mezzo soprano Katherine Jenkins, and can be watched from 18:00 BST on Friday 8 May 2020 on the Royal Albert Hall’s YouTube channel.

This will be the first ever concert delivered to an empty auditorium in the Hall’s 149-year history. The venue is currently closed due to the pandemic but are continuing the spirit of performance in the beautiful and iconic building in this huge international moment.
The performance will be available to watch on almost every computer or mobile device, so you can enjoy it wherever you are. If you are unable to tune in for the concert itself then it will remain up for you to watch on demand after the event.
As part of the event, they will be raising vital funds for the Royal Albert Hall and SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity.
