If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, than look no further than ‘The 27 Life – Art by Daisuke Sakaguchi’ exhibition at Into You, one of London’s leading and most cutting-edge tattoo stores.
The display is a showcase of the designer and painter’s passion for capturing the art of traditional Japanese tattooing (Irezumi) fused with other old school art forms – all of which pay homage to his British and Japanese roots.
Work featured in the exhibition includes his collaborations with Illicit Touch (an erotic emporium), and iconic rock ‘n’ roll jewellers The Great Frog.

Other highlights (and my favourites) include a Yamaha Motorbike and leather biker jacket created by lifestyle brand Black Skulls London, customised exclusively by Daisuke.

The installation runs until 31 October and if you head down to the gallery tomorrow (Sat 19), you can even instagram yourself with Daisuke, as he’ll be there in person.
In the meantime, watch a video of the opening night below, produced by Rino Pucci, in which Daisuke discusses the inspirations behind his work.
